- Fewer benefits eg. paid holiday, sick leave, healthcare schemes etc
- Viewed as less secure
- Geographical inconvenience - contractors may be required to live in temporary accommodation
Summary
The benefits of contracting far outweigh the disadvantages. Contracts are often renewed (sometimes up to 3 years or more). Glotel has very high retention rates with its existing contractors and on a year to year basis, the number of contractors continues to increase significantly.
